Also I have one zoom lens that I use and wouldn't want to apply custom lens profiles manually to ofest distortion. I have complex nest scenes that require very accurate adjustments of areas separate from others. It also needs the White Balance Eyedropper in the RAW Module. I would rather just develop in ACR and since Luminar lacks the advanced Luminosity (Lumenzia 4.0 plugin), Magic Wand, Quick Selection and Lasso, I am pretty much tied to PS for the time being. Without the lens profiles I don't think I would use Luminars RAW Develop module much. That is important for reworking files already containing a lot of Adobe editing.

I do agree the RAW Develop module is very good, I can say that although slightly brighter somehow the colors match the Adobe ACR very well. But what a nice surprise and I can get a better looking file faster in Luminar so far. I originally thought I'd have to spend a lot more time by working up the raw conversion in Lr, then send a tiff into Luminar. I agree that it is a very high quality raw developer and that surprised me at first. So I'm willing to give them some time to put another 25 person years of development effort into the product before I walk away from it. The key thing Luminar has going for it is a predictable and high quality raw development system. But all of those problems can be readily addressed with development resources and time. Yes, Luminar is amazingly incomplete, buggy, and slow. In my view ON1 is not a viable replacement for LR, even though I love the feature set. I've used ON1 for a year side by side with LR and have finally abandoned it due to poor tonal mappings, unpredictable develop sliders, really poor highlight recovery, and lousy noise reduction.
